Phase 2 of the Diacare project began with the first session of workshops involving healthcare professionals and members of the foundation’s team. On June 1st, 2018 a meeting was held between the regional clinical head, Rosa Flores and various nurses and doctors from the region, together with Elisenda Reixach and Mar Mirabete, TIC Social Foundation project managers, in an attempt to define the technological solutions which are part of the new digital support ecosystem in the management of Type 2 Diabetes.

Some of the needs expressed by the professionals were the importance of the solutions being straightforward and easy to adopt as part of their existing procedures.

The solutions being refined include the Smart Agenda, consisting of a more personalized care plan and Diabetes Care, to facilitate patient self-management of the disease. The workshop concluded with a validation of the proposed solutions which are to be developed. The next step will be a workshop involving both patients and professionals to fine-tune the solution in terms of UI/UX.

  • June 1st, healthcare professionals met with the TIC Salut Social Foundation team to begin workshops at the Bellvitge Primary Healthcare Unit.
