The partners of the CareCityLab project, promoted by the Mataró City Council, have effectively signed the collaboration agreement and constituted the Board of Directors. The TIC Salut Social Foundation is one of the entities that are part of the new care and research centre in the social and health field of Mataró, which aims to offer solutions and a better quality of life to citizens in situations of fragility and dependency as well as to their carers. At the same time, it is a centre for innovation, research and knowledge transfer.
The following people attended the signing of the agreement: the mayor of Mataró, David Bote; Meritxell Puyané for the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme Foundation; the manager of the Health Consortium of Maresme, Rafael Lledó; Joaquim Casanovas of the Health Consortium of the Maresme Health Foundation; the manager of the Sant Jaume and Santa Magdalena Hospital Foundation, Alfred Batet; Miquel Rey of the EURECAT Foundation; Cristina Bustillo of the TIC Salut Social Foundation; Josep Basora, on behalf of the Jordi Gol i Gurina University Institute Foundation for Primary Care Research; and Jordi Ara del Rey, on behalf of the Northern Metropolitan Primary Care of the Catalan Health Institute.

The new centre is part of the strategic project Mataró, Ciutat Cuidadora, and is financed with European Funds, specifically with the Projects of Territorial Competition and Specialisation (PECT) of Mataró-Maresme.
