The TIC Salut Social Foundation has signed a collaboration agreement with the iSYS Internet, Health and Society Foundation to promote initiatives that contribute differential value in the use of ICT in the field of health. One of the first actions will be the inclusion of its president, Immaculada Grau, on the TIC Salut Social Foundation’s Committee of Functional Experts in Health Apps.
The purpose of the committee is to assess the quality of the contents and functions of digital health assets for the public, such as health and wellbeing apps. So it can cover a range of disciplines in the field of health, the committee is made up of representatives from the Barcelona Medical Association (COMB), the Professional Association for Physical Activity and Sport of Catalonia (COPLEFC), the Official Nursing Association of Barcelona (COIB), the Catalan Society of Clinical Psychology Specialists (SCEPC), the Association of Family and Community Nursing of Catalonia (AiFICC), the Association of Family and Community Medicine of Catalonia (CAMFIC) and now the iSYS Foundation.

They discussed the need to promote safe and trustworthy digital assets for citizens and fit together the various initiatives emerging throughout the region in this area.
According to the president of the iSYS Foundation, the collaboration agreement is “an exceptional opportunity to join forces in the field of digital health in Catalonia. Through this collaboration, we are committed to promoting innovation and best practices in the deployment of ICTs to bring about better patient care”. Ms Grau was also sure that “the combination of our knowledge, resources and experience will be useful in advancing the digital transformation of the health system and benefit Catalan society”.
The head of Digital Assets at the TIC Salut Social Foundation, Carme Pratdepàdua, highlighted that the agreement is “a significant milestone in the search for substantial improvements in medical care and the management of people’s health, since the iSYS Foundation will provide its knowledge, resources and technical experience to contribute to the wellbeing and health of the Catalan population. We are sure that together we will achieve positive and lasting results”. Ms Pratdepàdua also added that “this collaboration will contribute to modernising medical care through innovative technological solutions that will improve the efficiency of the Catalan Health system”.
