On Wednesday, May 30th, at the TecnoCampus in Mataró, SISCAT (Catalan Comprehensive Public Health System) held its IT Systems Leaders’ Day, as part of the Trends Report project which the TIC Salut Social Foundation has organized every year since 2007.
The aim of the session, which brought together twenty-one CIOs (Chief Information Officers), was to discuss the restructuring of the Trends Report, in order that it better meets the needs of professionals in the sector, in response to requests the Foundation has received in recent meetings.
Dr Francesc Garcia Cuyàs, the ICT Social Health Foundation’s Director, together with Dr Jordi Martínez, its Director of Innovation and Lourdes Rodríguez, who is in charge of managing the project, were there to welcome the attendees and to establish the objectives for the session.
Also in attendance were UNITSS, the Catalan Association of IT Health Professionals, represented by their president, Anna Benavent, who in her speech thanked the Foundation “for the opportunity to restructure the survey “and shared UNITSS’ vision for the project: “We see the Report as a lever for change in terms of the visibility of CIO’s within organizations.”
The plenary session, with the corresponding presentation of various topics and the identification of other priorities, followed on from the group work. The participants had worked on identifying and proposing questions within each area before going on to prioritize them. Finally, a plenary session in which the results were shared, concluded the day. The conclusions which were reached will be published shortly.
