The new version of the LOINC lab terminology has been released

On the 29th of June the 2.52 LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) version of lab terminology was released. This new version has increased from 73,115 to 76,266 terms and has included the translations and linguistic variants of the descriptions of elements, including the Spanish one. A pilot version of a LOINC Vocabulary Web Service is also available: it retrieves some LOINC subsets based on FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) of existing HL7 (Health Level Seven) standards.
