  • What have the users consulted?

In the survey carried out on the first pilot phase (between December and January) the professionals said that the consultations were spread over different subjects, though most frequently approached the problem of active health. While for the citizens, the main subject was a health problem already known to professionals. 80% said that it was easy or very easy to use.

A total of 88 centres of the Catalan Health Institute, PAMEM, CAPSE, CSM, BSA, Taulí, CSI, Consorci Sanitari Anoia, Althaia, Muralles Salut, Hospital de Puigcerdà, Salut Empordà, Hospital d’Olot were involved, and there was activity from a total of 22 centres, more than 700 patients and 133 doctors in a pilot phase which was considered “very useful” by 70% of professionals and a similar number of citizens (71%), of whom 96% would recommend it to other acquaintances.

Deployment is expected in June to all eCAP centres in Catalonia (91% Catalonia Primary Care), in a further step to promote the non-face-to-face care model to Primary Care in a safe environment related to La Meva Salut.

According to Òscar Solans, the Fundació TicSalut functional coordinator of the Shared Medical Record (HC3), eConsulta is “a tool to give professionals support, which will allow access for a specific user profile to non-face-to-face visits”. In fact 88% of the survey to professionals believed that eConsulta would help in managing the agenda. Along this line, Solans concludes, “With its deployment the model of two-way communication between the patient and the primary professional will be promoted in a proactive and safe way”.
