The XPatient Barcelona Congress will present the latest initiatives on the change in the patient-centered care model

The congress, which will be held at the Auditori Imagina, is jointly organized by the Eurecat technology center, the Hospital Clínic and the Fundació TicSalut and practitioners of the XPA-Experienced Patient Experience community, with the aim of enhancing the patient's experience as a lever of change to improve the way health services are provided, in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of healthcare.

Overall, the program will deal with experiences regarding co-creation with patients and participatory procedures where the user is the main player, the state-of-the-art and trends in the evaluation of the patient's experience and experiences around them, and patient and caregiver empowerment.

The conference will be attended by Doctor Joan Escarrabill, director of the Hospital Clinic's Chronicity Assistance Program; Felip Miralles, director of the e-Health Unit of Eurecat and Tino Martí, manager of international projects of the Fundació TicSalut. The XPatient will also welcome the researcher of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia Josep Maria Monguet, who specialises in innovation in the field of health; Dr. Helen Ward, director of the Imperial Patient Experience Research Centre (PERC) of the United Kingdom, and other experts.

Innovative xpatient experiences and technology at the service of the patient, are others of the topics of the present edition, which will also deal with the interactive tools to support self-care.

The event is aimed at patients, carers and relatives, associations of patients and third sector entities dedicated to patient care, entities of research applied to the welfare sector, public administrations and private entities with decision-making capacity for the adoption of new solutions and practices that improve the quality of patient care and service and technology companies with solutions to improve the quality of the care.
