The Foundation’s Artificial Intelligence area actively participates in two European competitive projects and has done so previously in other completed international ones, such as project INCISIVE.
Current projects:
- COMFORTAGE: interdisciplinary Pan-European project that wants to establish a comprehensive framework for disease prevention, monitoring, and management related to dementia and frailty. The consortium will create a virtual health platform based on artificial intelligence to centralise resources for the analysis of risk factors, early diagnosis and personalised decision-making. For more information.
- FAITHFUL: European project based on the use of advanced algorithms and artificial intelligence applied to electrocardiogram tests to detect the first signs of heart failure at the primary care centre level. This innovative focus provides scoring on the disease thanks to EKG results. For this reason, it provides doctors with crucial information to make informed decisions on patient treatment and management, and allows them to refer patients to a cardiologist beforehand. For more information.
- SEARCH: European project which aims to enable extensive data aggregation and analysis through unique Synthetic Data Generation features to create various data types, including those not comprehensively addressed currently (e.g., wearable device data, image sequences, and genomic data), addressing legal and privacy concerns. It will provide gold standard synthetic datasets for evaluating the performance of biomedical AI solutions in personalized medicine.
