On October 29, the GIPS Association, BioInformàtics Barcelona, FENIN, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Area of CoMB, and Medidedàlia will host the conference “AI in health: an interdisciplinary challenge”. The event will focus on:
-
identifying and developing key concepts in AI in the health sector, as well as the implications for organizations aiming to develop it,
-
discussing the skills required by the different profiles involved in AI development in health, both clinicians and technologists,
-
debating how to foster its adoption in healthcare centers, and
-
presenting various success stories of AI development in healthcare institutions.
The conference is aimed at healthcare professionals working in medical centers who are interested in the development of this technology; professionals linked to health with more scientific and/or technological profiles (biomedical engineers, bioinformaticians, etc.) who are familiar with the technology and want to develop it in the clinical field; and also healthcare managers who want to implement AI to improve processes.
The Director of the TIC Salut i Social Foundation, Joan Guanyabens, will take part in the session “Health and AI in Catalonia: Where are we and where are we heading?”.
