The Catalan School of Health is organising the web seminar “Gender Perspective and Health”, which will take place on Monday, 10 November 2025, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

The seminar aims to reflect on the importance of the gender perspective in health and to raise awareness of the consequences of its absence, particularly regarding the physical and mental health of girls and women. The Catalan School of Health is a space for citizens to acquire skills and knowledge to maintain, strengthen, and improve health, thereby making informed decisions and enhancing well-being.

Lecturer: María Flores Rodero, molecular biologist and bioinformatician specialising in women’s and reproductive health sciences, PhD candidate at the University of Valencia, and visiting researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), where she is a member of the Bioinfo4Women committee.

Seminar details:

  • Format: online (Zoom). The link will be sent 30 minutes before the start of the session.
  • Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes (includes an open Q&A session).
  • Target audience: anyone interested in learning about the health consequences of the lack of a gender perspective.
  • Cost: free activity.
  • Certification: participants connected for at least 80 % of the session will receive a certificate of participation issued by the Catalan School of Health.
