The TIC Salut Social Foundation works with the Ministry of Health to provide MAPES with content

In order to align the various ICT projects with the health information systems that are developed within the framework of the SISCAT Information Systems Master Plan, an Adherence Model for Health Products and Tools (MAPES) has been designed, which consists of six different areas of action. Clinical information model, technological architecture, cybersecurity, data protection, relations with the general public and professionals, and artificial intelligence.

The TIC Salut Social Foundation is working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health to provide MAPES with content in the last three areas.  This November the Digital Asset Directory of the Foundation can be consulted through MAPES, within the scope of Relationship with the general public and professionals. It also makes resources available to users, such as Best practices guide for developing digital assets, among others.

Commitment to data protection and the promotion of artificial intelligence

The Foundation’s Office of the Health Data Protection Delegate also collaborates by offering a checklist in order to assess compliance with the different requirements that data protection regulations require. In addition, it makes an open version of its tool available to users who need it to perform impact assessments within the MAPES Data Protection space.
The Foundation’s Artificial Intelligence Unit has also integrated information about the Health/AI Programme, as well as the technical guides developed so far: the Best practices guide for code development in AI solutions and the Guide to explainability in AI. New guides on the implementation of AI in the field of Health related to the procedure for obtaining the CE marking, Generative AI and the European AI law will also soon be available on the Health/AI Program website and on MAPES.

In addition to all the AI Observatory support and reference documentation, MAPES also provides access to the registration form for AI tools in Health.

In this way, MAPES, as a tool for digital transformation in health, is another avenue of collaboration between the TIC Salut Social Foundation and the Ministry of Health. A way to facilitate the promotion and efficient management of projects based on innovative health technology.
