m4Social is boosting a series of events
The cycle will run for several weeks with actions promoted by the Catalan Third Social Sector Platform and also with participation in key external events. The kick-off will be a conference at the Palau Macaya on October 8, and the final milestone will be the closing event of the SimbiòTIC project, scheduled for November 11 at the Hub Social.
Following the success of the conference “Digital Innovation for Better Care of People”, m4Social once again brings together federations, alliances, and public administrations with whom it usually works, to advance the project’s main lines of action: the fight against the digital divide, the use of data within social entities, and how artificial intelligence can facilitate internal processes and the care of vulnerable groups.
In this full-day event, the morning will focus on highlighting the alliances built by the entities and the Platform itself, contributions to the quality and improvement of projects, and the definition of priorities for 2026. In the afternoon, working groups will take place, allowing for deeper discussion thanks to the expertise of leading individuals and organizations in the priority areas.
The “Digital Autumn” cycle will close on November 11 with a final event for the SimbiòTIC project. The initiative, developed jointly with the SinergiaTIC Association and funded by the Next Generation EU funds, aims to advance data management within third sector social organizations through the use of a CRM.
After two and a half years of implementation, the SinergiaCRM tool will have reached 40 new organizations, while another 40 will have contributed improvements to make it a truly useful software solution serving the third social sector.
Throughout the “Digital Autumn” cycle, m4Social will also take part in several activities organized by other actors in Catalonia’s digital and social third sector ecosystem:
October 2: Annual event of the Project Management Institute of Barcelona, with reflections on the SimbiòTIC project.
October 28: 4D Conference: Digital Rights and Democratic Digitalization, organized by xNet and Accent Obert, with contributions on data interoperability.
November 19–20: Beta Conference, organized by Techbloc4.
November 4–6: Smart City Expo 2025.
As a member of the European consortium DO Impact, the Platform (through m4Social) will participate in a new transnational event of the project. This time, it will take place in person in Riga on November 6–7, under the title “Data Ethics and Accessibility: Ensuring a People-Centered Approach.”
In addition, during October, a mission in Portugal will present the current status of digitalization in the third social sector to different public administrations, organizations, and universities.
