The Board of Trustees of the TIC Salut Social Foundation appointed Joan Guanyabens <\/strong>as the organisation\u2019s new Director at the meeting held on 28 February 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guanyabens has had a long career in health care management<\/strong> and has actively collaborated with the TIC Salut Social Foundation<\/strong>, as a consultant from 2020 and as a member of the Board of Trustees from 2007 to 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He graduated in medicine at the University of Barcelona and holds a master\u2019s degree in Health Management from ESADE. Throughout his professional career he has held various positions of responsibility in the public sector: Director of the Catalan Health Agency for Health Information, Evaluation and Quality (2009-2012), General ICT Coordinator (2007-2012), and an advisor, evaluator, auditor and expert in health information systems at the European Commission (1988-2001).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the academic field, he is a former General Director of the Vic Advanced Studies in Health Sciences Foundation (2017-2019). He is the director of the master’s degree in digital health at OBS Business School, and the academic co-director and lecturer on the master’s degree in health care Big Data at ENIIT Innova IT business school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
