The Department of Business and Labour has published Order EMT\/45\/2025, which establishes the regulatory framework for a new grant program supporting projects in assistive robotics and sensorization. This initiative is part of the <em data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"479\">Smart Digital Health<\/em> subproject under the national <em data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"518\">RETECH<\/em> program, aimed at promoting digitalization through European funds, within the framework of the <em data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"667\">Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR)<\/em> and financed by <em data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"704\">Next Generation EU<\/em> funds.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"966\">These grants are targeted at companies, technology centers, and organizations in the health and social sectors that seek to develop innovative solutions for the care of elderly people, individuals with disabilities, or those in situations of dependency.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"1335\">The funding is structured into two lines of action \u2014 one focused on assistive robotics projects and the other on sensorization projects \u2014 with the objective of promoting the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and the collection of exogenous data to enhance quality of life, especially for those in vulnerable or dependent situations.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1337\" data-end=\"1825\">The <em data-start=\"1341\" data-end=\"1363\">Smart Digital Health<\/em> project, led by the Government of Catalonia in collaboration with the Balearic Islands and the Valencian Community, is one of 13 strategic projects selected by the national RETECH program. It has received \u20ac16.6 million in funding to deploy a pioneering network in the field of digital health, of which \u20ac3.75 million has been allocated specifically to the Secretariat for Digital Policies of the Department of Business and Labour for implementation in Catalonia.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1957\">With this call, Catalonia aims to set a new benchmark in the care of people. Through these funding lines, the initiative seeks to:<\/p>\r\n<ul data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"2407\">\r\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"2083\">\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2083\">Promote independent living among the elderly through robotic solutions that provide personalized assistance and support.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2084\" data-end=\"2227\">\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2086\" data-end=\"2227\">Optimize healthcare system resources and foster efficiency, generating opportunities for the region\u2019s technological and business ecosystem.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2228\" data-end=\"2407\">\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2230\" data-end=\"2407\">Develop a local innovation environment for the creation and deployment of assistive robotics and sensor systems with real-world applications in the social and healthcare fields.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2409\" data-end=\"2729\">These actions contribute 100% to the digital transition, aligned with the objectives of the European Recovery Plan and the milestones established in the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
