On Wednesday, May 8, Foment del Treball<\/strong> and Boehringer Ingelheim<\/strong> held the event “Challenges of Catalan Healthcare in the Current Legislature”<\/strong>, bringing together institutional representatives, health sector experts, and professionals in research, management, and healthcare innovation.<\/p>\r\n The TIC Salut Social Foundation<\/strong> actively participated through its director, Joan Guanyabens<\/strong>, who took part in the round table on health policy challenges<\/strong>. During his speech, Guanyabens emphasized:<\/p>\r\n \u201cWe must properly leverage the possibilities of information and communication technologies to address the main challenges of healthcare systems: sustainability and personalization (humanization).\u201d<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n This insight aligns with the Foundation\u2019s mission to promote the adoption of digital solutions that place citizens at the center of the system and ensure more efficient, safer, and more connected care.<\/p>\r\n The Minister of Health, Olga Pan\u00e9<\/strong>, opened the session by stressing that the Catalan healthcare system faces challenges that require not only more resources, but also deep structural reforms<\/strong>. Pan\u00e9 highlighted the need to:<\/p>\r\n Resolve the system\u2019s chronic funding deficit<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Ensure accessibility and continuity of care<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Advance toward better integration between health and social care<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n The event also underscored the strategic value of the health sector as a social and economic driver<\/strong>.
