The Standards and Interoperability Office<\/strong>\u00a0(OFSTI)<\/strong>\u00a0of the\u00a0TICSalut Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0has just published the\u00a08th version of the SNOMED CT Catalan expansion<\/strong>. This version is available in RF2, the latest format of publications that uses IHTSDO to publish SNOWMED CT clinical terminology.<\/p>\n

This version includes the translation in Catalan of the subsets “attributes of provisions<\/strong>” and “inter-social<\/strong>“. The latter consists of terminology for problems and solutions in the area of social services.<\/p>\n

At the same time, a subset of the mHealth\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0mSocial variables has been created, and the following 13 subsets have been updated:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Vaccinations<\/p>\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Spirometry report<\/td>\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Notification of adverse reactions to vaccinations<\/p>\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ophthalmology<\/p>\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provisions<\/p>\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Health professions<\/p>\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Clinical variables<\/p>\n

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WiFIS<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This update sees the addition of 88 concepts to the Catalan extension, which makes 2831 concepts in total. To group these concepts and use them easily in each area, the extension already has 43 subsets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From 2016, in association with the Linguistic Planning Service of the Ministry of Health and TERMCAT<\/strong>, translation of the Catalan extension began. Currently, 2384 descriptions have been translated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the beta version of the Catalan extension in RF2 is currently available.<\/strong> This year, data have been published in RF1 and RF2 (and a simplified file for the INT and ES-ARG versions) to facilitate migration of formats to Catalan health care centres. Despite this, next year, the TICSalut Foundation will only publish the RF2 extension.
