72% of the entities would be interested in a SISCAT-wide infrastructure for the management of images in the Cloud and in the SAAS format, indicating that cloud management models move forward in their deployment; an example of this is the approval of the digital medical image.<\/p>\n
83% of the Provider Entities say that they can remotely access the medical images from outside their organisation, which allows much more access to information and the incorporation of new healthcare processes, for example telediagnosis.<\/p>\n
The survey shows an increase in the digital medical imagery forms (40% ophthalmology, 20% dermatology), in many cases due to the evolution of the PACS towards Neutral Vendor Archive, which allows the entire medical image generated by entities to be managed as medical objects.<\/p>\n
89% of the Supplier Entities say that they back up the digital images.<\/p>\n
Regarding the application of the European Directive 2013\/59\/euratom in February 2018, which will oblige entities to report the dose radiated to the patient in the diagnostic imagery tests, 39% of the Provider Entities have infrastructure to collect the data, 22% have the infrastructure planned, and 39% have not yet planned it.<\/p>\n
