The Regenstrief Institute, the entity responsible for updating and distributing the LOINC laboratory terminology, published the new version 2.63 on 15\/12\/2017.<\/p>\n

Among the improvements that have been applied, there is an addition of 1,660 terms, the edition of 4,300 and the deactivation of 112 more. With these updates, version 2.63 of LOINC already has a total of 86,528 terms<\/strong>, of which 2,920 are inactive.<\/p>\n

Regarding the terms that have been added to the current version of LOINC, 300 correspond to the field of microbiology, 50 to chemistry and 350 to radiology. Some new profiles have also been integrated, and certain instruments for patient evaluation have been updated.<\/p>\n
