The goal is to provide a more agile, closer, and more efficient response to the needs of citizens and healthcare professionals. The priorities, structured in the report <i>Identification of Needs in Healthcare Innovation in the SISCAT<\/i>, can be consulted through the <a href=\"https:\/\/scientiasalut.gencat.cat\/bitstream\/handle\/11351\/13832\/identificacio-necessitats-innovacio-assistencial-siscat-innovar-proposit-visio-participada-alineada-prioritats-estrategiques-sistema-salut-2025.pdf?sequence=7&amp;isAllowed=y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">following link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">With this project, the health system aims to move from a reactive model \u2014which incorporates innovations only when they reach the market\u2014 to a proactive model, capable of anticipating needs and driving solutions with high social, clinical, and organizational value.<\/p>\n<h2><b>A participatory process<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">The work has been carried out with the involvement of citizens, professionals, and key stakeholders from the Department of Health and CatSalut. A total of <strong>288 unmet needs or challenges were identified<\/strong> as areas for improvement through healthcare innovation processes (<strong>169 from citizens and 119 from healthcare professionals<\/strong>). These challenges were analyzed and grouped to define the strategic lines of healthcare innovation, which must be developed considering three cross-cutting concepts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">The person as a whole<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Health also has a gender dimension<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">A sustainable system<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>The 7 priority areas for innovation<\/b><\/h2>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Make healthcare management more agile and efficient, oriented toward results<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Advance toward personalized diagnosis and treatment<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Make decisions based on real-time data, using predictive models that promote proactivity and anticipation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Improve accessibility, equity, and flexibility in healthcare, bringing it closer to people and considering their social, economic, and geographical conditions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Strengthen prevention, health promotion, and active ageing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Integrate mental health and emotional well-being at all levels of care, ensuring emotional support, early detection, and comprehensive care for both patients and professionals<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\">Improve communication to strengthen trust and the patient experience<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"p1\">These priorities will serve as a <strong>guide to promote new projects<\/strong> and tools that will gradually be incorporated into <strong>healthcare planning and day-to-day clinical activity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-33923 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Arees_prioritaries_innovacio_CatSalut_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1326\" height=\"781\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Arees_prioritaries_innovacio_CatSalut_2.jpg 1326w, https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Arees_prioritaries_innovacio_CatSalut_2-300x177.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Arees_prioritaries_innovacio_CatSalut_2-1024x603.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Arees_prioritaries_innovacio_CatSalut_2-768x452.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1326px) 100vw, 1326px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>The TIC Salut Social Foundation and the Adoption of Innovation in the Health System<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p3\">The TIC Salut Social Foundation works on the technological assessment of innovative projects that can be implemented in the system to improve equitable access and the efficiency of the services provided. One example is the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Digital Assets Certification Service<\/b><\/span> for citizens. In collaboration with the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Citizenship, Innovation and User Area<\/b><\/span> of the Catalan Health Service, the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Department of Health<\/b><\/span>, and the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Department of Social Rights and Inclusion<\/b><\/span>, the Foundation promotes the use of digital assets (mobile applications, websites, and other digital solutions and services) in the field of health and well-being, bringing them closer to citizens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The main commitment of this service is to support the use of health and well-being digital assets aimed at the public. The preliminary step involves reviewing their security, usability, and technological reliability according to international quality standards. This review process is pioneering in Europe, as it integrates standards recognized by the European Union, such as <span class=\"s2\"><b>CEN ISO\/TS 82304-2<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The results of the certification processes are made available to the system and to citizens through participatory sessions, such as the one taking place on <a href=\"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/en\/event\/apps-de-salut-per-a-la-ciutadania\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>Wednesday, November 12<\/b><\/span>,<\/a> organized jointly with the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Secretariat for Healthcare and Participation<\/b><\/span> and the <span class=\"s2\"><b>Patients\u2019 Advisory Council<\/b><\/span>.
