{"id":34189,"date":"2025-02-28T15:12:44","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T13:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/noticia\/units-per-les-malalties-rares-projecte-unicas\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T14:29:43","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T12:29:43","slug":"units-per-les-malalties-rares-projecte-unicas","status":"publish","type":"noticia","link":"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/en\/noticia\/units-per-les-malalties-rares-projecte-unicas\/","title":{"rendered":"United for rare diseases: the \u00daNICAS project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Today, on Rare Disease Day, we come together to raise awareness of more than 7,000 rare diseases worldwide, which affect approximately 7% of the global population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>\u00daNICAS project<\/strong> is working to improve comprehensive care for paediatric patients with complex rare diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00daNICAS is a project of the <strong>Ministry of Health<\/strong>, included in the <strong>Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan<\/strong>, and funded by the <strong>European Union\u2019s NextGenerationEU<\/strong> funds. Its aim is to create an ecosystem of partnerships to enhance the response of the <strong>National Health Service<\/strong> to patients with complex rare diseases throughout their entire care journey. To achieve this, a technological and healthcare network will be established, with at least one node in each autonomous community, integrating 30 hospitals to meet the needs of patients, caregivers, and professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Catalonia<\/strong> leads the design, development, and technological integration of the project, with <strong>Hospital Sant Joan de D\u00e9u<\/strong> providing functional leadership and the <strong>TIC Salut Social Foundation<\/strong> leading on the technological front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Digitalisation, collaboration between institutions, and equitable access to healthcare are key to transforming the health landscape in our country.
