The assessment has also drawn upon the criteria set by the Department of Health and other European directives, and has been supported by an independent Functional Expert Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of the TIC Salut i Social Foundation\u2019s digital asset evaluation framework includes digital resources aimed both at citizens and at healthcare and social care professionals, developed within the Catalan Health System and the broader field of social wellbeing, as well as those created by private initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nearly 5.000 patients already use it<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hospital\u2019s Director of Transformation and Digital Health, Meritxell Davins, expressed her great satisfaction with this recognition, which further strengthens the relevance of eSalut, a project of the Catalan Institute of Health that facilitates communication between patients and professionals, while involving users more actively in their care process and improving their quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specifically, the application provides patients with personalised information and helps them manage their conditions from home. To date, the application has been used by more than 4,700 patients, who can access personalised information, guidance, recommendations and exercises designed for each case. All content is prepared or validated by the relevant care teams and has been co-developed with other patients who have participated in the development process of eSalut, testing and validating the information provided and sharing their experience as users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By condition, the largest group of app users are patients with obesity, followed by those with migraine, retinal occlusion, HIV, stroke and chronic pain.
