Trillium-II answered\nthe call for an EU-US interoperability roadmap (SCI-HCO-14-2016), with a\nleading consortium (which includes the Fundaci\u00f3 TIC Salut Social) to continue\nmaking progress on the interoperability of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).\nThe objective of the project is to continue with the Trillium Bridge Project\n(2013-2015), which compared the standards and patient summary specifications in\nEurope and the United States, and to move towards an international patient\nsummary standard. The summary will allow people to access and share their health\ninformation in an emergency or unexpected situation anywhere and with whoever\nthey need to, including: immunizations, allergies, intolerances, medications,\nimplantable devices, problems and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Trillium II project participated in the 5th<\/sup> European Union Exercise Module (EU MODEX-Ro), which consisted of simulating a natural disaster, with real people playing different roles, and performing a series of exercises to manage and respond to an emergency situation. The exercise took place in Bucharest from October 14 to 18, and was hosted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The EU MODEX-Ro was the medical exercise simulation with the highest number of participants in the European Union, involving more than 3,500 individuals. It was also the largest medical event within the framework of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the Union (Union Civil Protection) in terms of the number of teams and participants, with participants from all member states, with 600 different roles and 2,000 use cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The exercise scenario involved a devastating earthquake of 7.5 on the Richter scale in Bucharest, which caused Romania to declare an emergency situation and request international assistance.
