This programme is performed by the AGAUR agency (<em>Ag\u00e8ncia de Gesti\u00f3 d&#8217;Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca <\/em>[University Research Scholarships Management Agency]) supported by six different prizes and two special mentions. Among the prizes, the TIC Salut Social Foundation -with S\u00edlvia Cuf\u00ed, Corporate Development Director as a member of the jury- represents the &#8216;ICT in healthcare&#8217; award. Other prizes are the INEFC, the Alfons Banda, the Ramon Muntaner and the Luciana Calvo award. The &#8216;wise people&#8217; special mentions are inspired in Ramon Margalef and Narc\u00eds Monturiol.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of these awards is to recognise works according to criteria such as the students&#8217; effort; the reflectes and transfer knowledge in experimental or theoric research and to foster the scientific creativity and research spirit; it can be submitted any knowledge area; and finally, it is rewardes the effort of the secondary education centres (high schools) by enhancing the participation of headmasters, tutors and students.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The prizes constituted of economic donations, in the particular case of the ICT in healthcare, a total amount of 24 projects realised by 35 students (17 women and 18 men) that study at 22 different centres have been submitted. The winner project is catalogued in the area of &#8216;engineering, tech and architecture&#8217; and it called &#8216;Design and implementation of an assistive system for people with low range of vision and blind people based in artificial intelligence and ecolocalization&#8217;. The awarded, J\u00falia Gay Torn\u00e9, from her last year before university, studies at <em>Casa del Roure<\/em> school, Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>On the 30th of May it will take place the awards&#8217; ceremony.
