{"id":31930,"date":"2025-02-25T11:26:53","date_gmt":"2025-02-25T09:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/introduction\/"},"modified":"2025-06-06T11:55:01","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T09:55:01","slug":"introduction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/en\/introduction\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The TIC Salut Social Chair was started in December 2013 as an initiative from TIC Salut Social Foundation and the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&nbsp;<strong>wishes&nbsp;<\/strong>to provide services and function as a reference point for research, teaching, the intersectional divulging of ICTs, healthcare, and social services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its mission is to spread projects and research initiatives that focus on improving healthcare quality, render the healthcare and social systems more efficient, and establish a new relationship between the citizen and its healthcare and social systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strategic goals<\/strong>&nbsp;are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To collaborate with healthcare and social institutions both within the territory of UVic-UCC as well as on the Catalonian, national, and international levels to promote projects, research initiatives, and policies guided to improve the quality of care and make the healthcare and social systems more efficient.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as an instrument and become a trustworthy and referenced institution that promotes research, teaching, and divulging of ICTs in the healthcare and social services fields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>values<\/strong>&nbsp;that guide its activities are:&nbsp;<strong>cooperation<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>thought<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>empiricism<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>willingness to serve.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to achieve this goal, the TIC Salut Social Foundation has woven a network of professionals by connecting service providers, academia and research work, as well as the industrial world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TIC Salut Social | TIC Salut Social Chair.\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OrrDtbjaLHg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
