{"id":31957,"date":"2025-02-25T12:23:27","date_gmt":"2025-02-25T10:23:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/que-fem\/ehealth\/virtual-environments\/"},"modified":"2025-06-06T12:19:23","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T10:19:23","slug":"virtual-environments","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ticsalutsocial.atoom.space\/en\/que-fem\/ehealth\/virtual-environments\/","title":{"rendered":"Virtual environments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Virtual reality<\/strong> shows the user a completely digital environment in which they can interact without perceiving the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Augmented reality<\/strong> shows the real world with superposed digital information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An immersive room is a physical space specially designed to provide <strong>virtual and\/or augmented reality<\/strong> experiences, which give the impression of being physically present in the created virtual space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TIC Salut Social Foundation is developing a project to evaluate new technologies as therapeutic support in the treatment of people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).\r\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the one hand, a series of applications will be evaluated using tablets in people with ASD stage II, and on the other one using an immersive virtual reality (IVR) room to expose people with ASD stage III to a controlled environment that works as training to gain behavioural skills and social interactions.\r\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sant Francesc d\u2019Ass\u00eds Foundation, GURU Foundation, and the Open University of Catalonia are involved in this project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Virtual reality shows the user a completely digital environment in which they can interact without perceiving the real world.
