These digital models are&nbsp;<strong>continuously updated<\/strong>&nbsp;with real-time data and can simulate various processes, predict outcomes, and support decision-making in healthcare. Digital twins hold considerable promise for transforming healthcare, including management and delivery, disease prediction, prevention and treatment, and health well-being maintenance, ultimately improving human lives.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Digital twins&nbsp;<strong>rely on big data,<\/strong>&nbsp;coupled with improved access to data science, and the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Many healthcare institutions are conducting&nbsp;<strong>proof-of-concept studies<\/strong>&nbsp;to explore the potential benefits and feasibility of using digital twins in various medical applications. Their development and deployment in healthcare are still, however, in the initial stages.&nbsp;Developing digital twins which offer&nbsp;<strong>a holistic vision<\/strong>&nbsp;(rather than being disease- or organ-specific) remains a challenge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Significant progress has, nevertheless, been achieved in relationship to&nbsp;<strong>Personalized Medicine&nbsp;<\/strong>to predict disease progression and optimize treatment plans,&nbsp;<strong>optimisation<\/strong>&nbsp;of the use of medical equipment and planning, and&nbsp;<strong>simulation<\/strong>&nbsp;of sensitive practices such as surgical procedures.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continued research, technological advancements, and collaborative efforts are essential to achieve the full potential of this technology.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In this webinar<\/strong>, organised by EHTEL, they will explore in particular the\u00a0<strong>current use of this disruptive innovation<\/strong>\u00a0in the context of<strong>\u00a0cardiovascular diseases\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>dementia<\/strong>.\u00a0The webinar is also aimed to understand the key actions supported by the European Commission in the context of the\u00a0<strong>European Virtual Human Twins Initiative<\/strong>, which aims to advance the emergence and adoption of the next generation of virtual human twins solutions in health and care.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":28616,"menu_order":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":true,"inline_featured_image":false},"tipus":[],"topic":[117],"class_list":["post-28618","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","topic-jornadas"],"acf":{"imatge":28616,"informacio":{"ubicacio":"Online","data":"22\/10\/2024","hora":"14.00 CET","preu":"","inscripcions":"https:\/\/events.teams.microsoft.com\/event\/86ddfa50-e560-45c3-9481-44b8e6cbf663@c96b8cef-25b4-4f8e-8e11-28fff2720117"},"programa":{"titol":"","items":false}},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
