The TIC Salut Social Foundation collaborates and is a member of the following international organisations regarding standardisation and interoperability:
SNOMED International, CNS (SNOMED CT National Reference Centre)
SNOMED International is a non-profit organisation that has the rights and ownership of the SNOMED CT (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine – Clinical Terms) clinical terminology, as well as the responsibility to update and distribute it internationally.
SNOMED Spanish Edition és la versió internacional de l’estàndard traduïda a espanyol d’Amèrica Llatina.
Some countries maintain and distribute, as members of said organisation, a national edition for SNOMED CT for use within its borders. The Spanish Extension is the national edition for Spain maintained by the SNOMED CT National Reference Centre for Spain, Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs, and Social Welfare.
HL7 International – HL7 Spain
HL7 Spain is HL7 International’s official entity that works by developing global interoperability standards for data in the healthcare sector and promotes the use of HL7 standards in Spain by participating in events around the country, courses, training, or guide and manual publications on use and implementation of standards.
It is the only accredited organisation in Spain for the training and certification of HL7 standards among health professionals.
Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE)
It is an organisation focused on developing standards for the healthcare sector, established in 1987 as a non-profit. It works on an international level as currently one of the most important when dealing with medical computer messaging.
IHE promotes the coordinated use of established standards such as DICOM and HL7 to address clinical needs. Its mission is to provide a full framework of standards related to the exchange, integration, and recovery of health electronic information which supports clinical practice and management to enable interoperable digital workflow.
LOINC International
LOINC International is a non-profit medical research organisation associated to the Indiana University. This organisation promotes the LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) international standard, which SISCAT uses to produce laboratory work.
