SNOMED International is a non-profit organisation that has the rights and ownership of the SNOMED CT (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine – Clinical Terms) clinical terminology, as well as the responsibility to update and distribute it internationally.

Some countries maintain and distribute, as members of said organisation, a national edition for SNOMED CT for use within its borders. The Spanish Extension is the national edition for Spain maintained by the SNOMED CT National Reference Centre for Spain, Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs, and Social Welfare.
HL7 Spain is HL7 International’s official entity that works by developing global interoperability standards for data in the healthcare sector and promotes the use of HL7 standards in Spain by participating in events around the country, courses, training, or guide and manual publications on use and implementation of standards.
It is the only accredited organisation in Spain for the training and certification of HL7 standards among health professionals.

LOINC International is a non-profit medical research organisation associated to the Indiana University. This organisation promotes the LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) international standard, which SISCAT uses to produce laboratory work.
