The Minister of Employment, Social Affairs and Families, Dolors Bassa, inaugurated Inclusió.cat, the First Congress of Social Action in Catalonia, which in this first edition went further into integral social and health care from the social perspective, a strategic point in view of the current aging population and the future prospects.
Inclusió.cat is jointly organised by the Department of Employment, Social Affairs and Families and the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia, through the Social Services Chair, and with the collaboration of the Interdepartmental Plan for social and health care and interaction, coordinated by the Department of the Presidency, and Fundació TicSalut of the Department of Health. The intention of the organisers is that this meeting should be two-yearly and that in each edition a subject should be addressed in depth.
The main speakers at this first congress particularly included Don Redding, director of policies at National Voices, the coalition of national health and social care charities of the United Kingdom, Fernando Fantova, social consultant and Alfonso Lara, Director of Policies of the European Social Network.
DIXIT, the Social Services Documentation Centre, also participated in the conference with the publication of a thematic dossier with reference documentation, various resources and websites of interest to get to know and study integrated social and health care.
