The Gran Via complex of Fira de Barcelona for the second consecutive year will be hosting the Internet of Things Solutions World Congress, which will take place from 25 to 27 October 2016. Organised by Fira de Barcelona and the Industrial Internet Consortium (CII), the event expects to exceed the attendance of last year and to create the best possible platform for companies and experts together to deal with development strategies and projects in the IoT
In its first edition, the Congress hosted talks by 120 experts, 88 exhibiting companies and 4,500 visitors from 53 countries of the world. In this year’s edition, these figures are expected to be exceeded with more than 200 experts, 160 exhibiting companies and over 8,000 visitors, thus consolidating the leadership of the IOTSWC in the global panorama of industrial IoT.
ICT, health and Social area (25 and 26 October)
Fundació TicSalut will be taking part in the Congress as an ambassador, and will have a personalised space to give first-hand information on the developments related to IoT applied to the health sector and to talk, amongst other things, about Digital Health and mHealth. This reserved hall parallel to the Congress is intended to be a meeting point for the sectors and will have a master talk from an expert in IoT, who will connect the present and future of this central disruptive concept of the event.

2) Roundtable with IoT technicians (wearables, infrastructure, and analysis, predictive models) and health partners representing users, social sector, health sector.
Subjects to be dealt with: a moderator asks questions while the participants answer: challenges, opportunities, mid, long-term views, barriers, others…
3) Guided visit for the exhibitors.
1) Horizon2020: Opportunities related to the IoT.
2) Space for demos led by ClusterHT, buzz with projects, participative tables for new proposals and final talk with 3-4 companies selected by the cluster.

The IoTSWC Hackathon will show the more social side of the Internet of Things applied to health universalisation
The IoT Solutions World Congress has organised a meeting of programmers to move forward in knowing and developing innovative and creative solutions in the IoT which, more than anything else, have a social application related to access to the healthcare and health services.
The entities organising the Hackathon (Intel, Microsoft and IoT SWC) make a call to the developer community to make an active participation in a unique innovation meeting that will bring them valuable knowledge, access to the state-of-the-art cloud technology and the support of the network of IoT professionals of Intel and Microsoft.
